Coins For Kindness Campaign Guidelines

Share the news everywhere you go, talk about the Coins for Kindness Campaign and how good it makes you feel to be involved. As your quality of life is improving, simultaneously you are acting as a catalyst for someone less fortunate, who will be a recipient of your kind actions.

This is a simple yet profound practice to incorporate throughout your day, every day. Remember over the 100 days, your "minimum" goal is to acquire $100. One dollar per day! However, you can set your own goal! Just as physical exercise develops muscles, this exercise will develop a core value within yourself - the passion and the internal strength to engage others to make a difference.

Ask and invite family, friends, colleagues, co-workers and places where you do business, to extend an act of kindness to help you achieve the goal you set. Engage offices and business owners to contribute to your Coins for Kindness Campaign. The most important quality essential to your success is perseverance.

Guidelines A: Before The Core Challenge

Encourage friends and family to help you raise money for your Coins for Kindness Campaign. Each dollar that you raise represents 1 point. To qualify for the finals in the Core Challenge, you must raise at least $100. Here are some suggestions:

  1. Look for charities or organizations that are aligned with the issues that you are most passionate about, be it local or international, disease or world hunger, disaster recovery or women and children. Though the world's problems are overwhelming, your efforts count, however modest your donation. And, if you select a charity that you are enthusiastic about, your charity is inclined to be more generous and consistent.

  2. Please, make sure your charity is recognized by the Act of Kindness Network (AOKN). There are literally thousands of charitable organizations out there. AOKN recognizes 7 main types of non-profit organizations:

    • Charitable Organizations. Includes religious, scientific and educational institutions as well as private foundations.
    • Social Welfare Organizations. Includes civic leagues and community organizations.
    • Business Leagues. Includes trade associations and chambers of commerce.
    • Social Clubs. Includes hobby and country clubs. Fraternal Societies. Includes lodges and other such organizations.
    • Veteran's Organizations. Includes organizations of past or present members of the Armed Forces of the United States.
    • Employee's Associations. Includes voluntary employees' benefit associations and local associations of employees.

  3. Ideally, use only paper money during The Core Challenge. Keep all of your change in this envelop or container. At the end of 100 days, cash in your coins and donate the money to your favorite charity recognized by AOKN.

  4. Create your own "Giving Circle" by recruiting family and friends to fundraise with you toward a common cause. You can do it alone, but imagine how much more you could donate if you had one or more friends working with you!

  5. Track your daily campaign in Appendix D of your tracking manual My Success Log. While earning your daily bread, be sure you share a slice with those less fortunate.

Guidelines B: After The Core Challenge
  1. Send in your packet - Within 15 days of the end date of The Core Challenge, we must receive your forms completed from your tracking manual My Success Log.

  2. Send in your Coins For Kindness Campaign - Within 15 days of the end date of The Core Challenge. We must receive the report, "Appendix D", from your manual, and FAX of the copy of the cheque you sent to the charity for the money you collected from your Coins For Kindness Campaign.

  3. Be kind consistently. Small, concrete acts of kindness done with a smile go a long way. Stay confident and cheerful in what you do. If someone asks you to do something you truly cannot do, don't get upset and frustrated at them. Just smile and say though you'd like to be able to, you just can't do it right now.

  4. Keep up the good work! - To help you sustain fitness and prosperity, you can take The Core Challenge as many times as you want during the current calendar year.
